If you are trying to remove matted hair from your cat’s fur, place your fingers below the mat so that it doesn’t pull on her skin and slowly use your comb to detangle the knotted hair. If it’ really bad, cut it out using a special blunt-nosed scissors so that you don’t inadvertently cut into her delicate skin. If you struggle, consider taking your cat to a professional groomer. Matilda, featured above has a regular groomer appointment to keep her fur fabulous.
