Moving to a new home can be a very traumatic event for pets. Cats are territorial and perceptive creatures.   So if your cat is allowed outside, stop letting her outside at least two weeks before moving day. This will prevent her from possibly disappearing beforehand. And at times when there’s heavy foot traffic coming and going through the front door, confine her to one room.
