Does Your Dog Have A Voyce?
Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences is the first veterinary college and teaching hospital to offer the Voyce Pro Wellness Monitoring Program™ to all patients in order to better monitor their patients.
Voyce Pro – designed specifically for veterinarians – enables remote observation of canine patients’ biometric data, including resting heart and respiratory rates, intensity of activity, quality of rest, and calories burned and more using the Voyce Health Monitor™. These data collected from a dog’s home environment have never before been available to veterinarians and are used to drive better patient health and practice outcomes.
Using this system, the university’s veterinarians, faculty, and students can better monitor their patients and simultaneously let the hospital’s clients better understand their dog’s health and wellness during their hospitalization and care.
The Voyce Health Monitor dog collar for home monitoring has been available to pet parents for some time. It keeps track of various elements deemed important to your dog’s overall wellbeing, including: amount of rest; monitoring resting heart and respiratory rate; calories burned; distance travelled; and amount of sunlight received. All of these factors are synched to your computer, tablet or smart phone via WiFi. In addition to the weekly updates that Voyce sends to your e-mail, you can login in anytime to check how your dog is doing. The idea is to better to able to inform your veterinarian about your pet’s health at home. The system actually allows you to set it up so that others such as your vet or pet sitter have direct access to the information too.
