“People have such a connection to animal characters of all kinds, and dogs especially register very highly in our character database. In many cases, celebrity dogs rank higher in popularity than many of their human counterparts,” says Gerry Philpott, President/CEO. “These canine characters have made us laugh, cry and many kids describe these characters simply as ‘Good Friends.'”

Along with appeal and awareness, E-Score also measures 37 different individual attributes for each character. Attribute scores can reveal what it is about a character that makes it appealing. The top attributes associated with these dogs are “A Good Friend” (for kids 6-12) and “Funny” for both kids and adults alike.
