And The Winner Is …

An unscripted short film called Ricky has won the second annual Catdance Film Festival.

The film is narrated by a spunky and adorable 7-year-old named Willa about the bond between a dog and newly adopted cat filmed by  Simon Savelyev.

 Five finalist films made their debut at the Catdance Film Festival, which took place in Park City, Utah, during the heart of the independent film festival. Simon will receive $50,000 and a golden litter scoop.  Simon plans to use a portion of his prize money to support the local animal shelter. He also plans to make a contribution to Willa’s education fund.
